Platinum End Episode 13 Recap

Saki jumps in front of the syringes that Kohinata threw at Kakehashi. Kakehashi is already preoccupied and is too late to save Saki. In the heat of the situation, Hajime takes his sword and tries to save Saki.
Hajime manages to bend needles of two of the syringes but not the third. There is no way to save Saki but one. Hajime without even thinking jumps in and saves Saki but melts as the effect of the syringe. Yet he manages to draw his sword through Kohinata’s chest.
He before dying says that he was sad from the moment he was born and that he didn’t think that he would have any purpose in life. But after saving Saki, he smiles and says that he was glad that he was born.
Both Kohinata and Hajime die and their arrows are given to Uryu and Kakehashi respectively.
