The 5th Episode of Classroom Of The Elite Season 2 seemed rushed. We only found out about the Sports Festival in the previous episode, and now we’re halfway through it. Even though it is a school-wide team event, we see very little interaction with the first-year Class-A and none at all with the other Classes. There appear to be many unfinished loopholes.
Horikita and Ayanokoji look into the possibility of Kushida being the traitor. According to Ayanokoji, Kushida may be receiving private points from other courses. Kushida dismisses it, and the two decide to put their trust in one another going forward.
Sudo tries to motivate everyone as the Sports Festival begins. Class D begins well, but their performance gradually deteriorates as the episode progresses. During the pole toppling competition, many of the competitors target Sudo. The Red Team loses the game due to Ryuen’s dishonest tactics. Meanwhile, Horikita injures her ankle after unintentionally colliding with Kinoshita from Class C.
Horikita is examined by Ayanokoji. Horikita informs him that Kinoshita most likely intentionally struck her. In the subsequent incidents, Class C continued to target Sudo and Horikita. Karuizawa inquires about the situation with Ayanokoji. However, Ayanokoji explains the targeting and how the traitor obtained the class roster.
Karuizawa wonders if they still have a chance to win. To her surprise, he informs her that he never intended to win from the start. Meanwhile, Sudo loses his cool in front of the class and storms away. Ayanokoji travels to Horikita to retrieve Sudo. She doubts her ability, but Ayanokoji reminds her that she cannot be useless. He tells her that Sudo can be of great assistance to her.
